1What's the difference between SEM, SEO, and PPC anyway?
SEM technically means “Search Engine Marketing” (all of it), but in practice everyone uses it interchangeably with PPC because the marketing industry loves making simple things confusing. PPC means “Pay Per Click”—you pay Google every time someone clicks your ad. It's like a vending machine except instead of snacks you get website visitors, and instead of $1.50 you pay anywhere from $2 to $200 per click depending on your industry's desperation levels. SEO is “Search Engine Optimization”—the unpaid method where you optimize your website to rank organically in search results. It's “free” the way owning a dog is free—no direct payment, but significant time and resource investment that adds up quickly. We specialize in SEM/PPC (the paid stuff that works fast) not SEO (the “free” stuff that takes 6-12 months and requires sacrificing content to the Google algorithm gods).
2Why hire an SEM agency instead of doing it yourself?
Because managing Google Ads yourself is like doing your own dental work—technically possible, but probably going to end badly and cost more to fix later. An agency brings years of experience across hundreds of campaigns, so your account benefits from pattern recognition we've developed after seeing every possible way to waste money (and the few ways to actually make it). If an agency needs a year-long agreement from day one, that tells you something about their confidence in delivering results (and it's not good). We just need a quarter to show we're the real deal.
4What happens to my campaigns if I leave?
You keep everything—campaigns, ad copy, landing pages, tracking setups, strategic documentation, keyword lists. All of it. We're not holding your Google Ads account hostage like some agencies do (seriously, who does that?). You paid for it, you own it, you take it with you even if you leave us for an agency that promises “AI-powered revolutionary strategies” that sound suspiciously like regular Google Ads with extra buzzwords. We'll be sad, maybe eat some ice cream, but your campaigns are yours to keep.
5Do I get access to my own accounts?
Of course. We set you up with full admin access because, shockingly, we believe you should be able to see what you're paying for. You can log into Google Ads, analytics, and tracking platforms anytime—whether you trust us completely or want to verify we're not just moving budget around randomly while claiming we're “optimizing.” Some agencies guard account access like it's nuclear launch codes. We think that's weird and slightly suspicious. It's your account, your budget, your business—you should be able to check on things whenever anxiety strikes at 11pm on a Sunday.
6Do you charge a percentage of ad spend?
Depends on your situation. Sometimes yes, sometimes flat fee, sometimes hourly for consulting. We price based on actual work required, not just automatically charge more because you have a bigger budget. Seems weird to charge 5x more for managing $100K/month versus $20K/month when the effort is roughly the same, right? We'll quote clear pricing during your free Growth Plan based on scope and goals—not whatever pricing model extracts maximum revenue from you while we pretend complexity scales linearly with budget (it doesn't).
7What's the minimum monthly ad spend you'll manage?
Around $3,000/month for Google Ads on the low end, up to $1M+ on the high end. Below that minimum, there's just not enough budget for effective testing, optimization, and results—it's like trying to road trip across the country with a half tank of gas. You'll get somewhere, just nowhere near your destination, and you'll run out quickly. We're not exclusively for massive budgets though. If you're spending enough that strategic optimization creates measurable impact instead of just keeping campaigns technically running, we'll make it work.
8Will Google Ads work for my specialized industry?
If people search for what you sell, yes. We've optimized campaigns across dozens of industries—some mainstream (eCommerce, SaaS, professional services), some extremely niche (industrial equipment, specialized B2B services, products we still don't fully understand but successfully market anyway). Unless you're in an industry Google explicitly bans or your monthly search volume is measurable in single digits, we can make it perform. The core strategies remain consistent—target relevant searches, write compelling ads, build converting landing pages, optimize continuously. Your industry might be specialized, but your potential customers still Google things before buying. We help you show up when they do.
9Will you create new ad accounts?
If your current account is salvageable, we'll use it—no need to throw away historical data and quality scores you've spent months building. But if your account looks like a crime scene (paused campaigns from 2019, keywords targeting “free stuff,” ad copy written by someone who clearly hated their job), we can start fresh. We'll audit what you have during our assessment and recommend whether to renovate or demolish. Sometimes accounts just need optimization. Sometimes they need a mercy killing and a fresh start with adult supervision.
10Will I get regular campaign updates?
Yes, and you control the frequency. Some clients want daily performance snapshots like they're checking stock prices during a market crash. Others prefer monthly summaries and only want emergency contact if something's genuinely wrong. We send regular reports and video updates, plus you have dashboard access 24/7 for whenever the urge strikes to check if that 3% conversion rate drop was real or a temporary glitch. Communication level is your call—from “tell me everything always” to “only bother me if something's actually on fire.”
11Do you charge for meetings and calls?
Nope. That would be like your dentist charging you extra to explain what they found during your cleaning—you're already there, why would talking cost more?
